Radio Bar Kulan pays tribute to the victims of National Theatre bomb

Radio Bar Kulan (RBK) broadcast a specially produced programme to commemorate the violent deaths of Aadan Haji Yabarow Wiish, President of the Somali Olympic Committee and Said Mohamud Nuur, Chairman of the Somali Football Federation, both killed in Wednesday’s 4 April suicide bomb attack at the National Theatre, Mogadishu. RBK mourns their deaths and those of all the victims of this attack against the people of Somalia.
In the evening of April 4th RBK broadcast a special programme profiling and commemorating in particular these two leading figures in Somali Sport. The programmeincluded interviews with Vice President of the Somali Olympic Committee Duran Ahmed Farah, the former Chairman of the Somali Football Federation Salad M. Mohamed Gaab, the Chairman of the Somali Handball Federation Mohamud Huurshe and the Deputy of Somali Athletics Federation Abdullaahi Mohamed Saney.
RBK broadcast today, 6th April, a second programme, profiling and commemorating the two leading figures in Somali Sport.
Radio Bar Kulan, public service radio broadcasting to Somalia and the Somali Diaspora, provides regular coverage of Somali sport and has received several commendations, Including awards from the Somali Football Federation, 2010, 2011 and 2012, from the Basketball Federation in 2011 and the Somali Olympic Committee in 2011.
